Nigerian Songstress Chidinma Quits Circular Music, Now a Minister of the Gospel

Chidinma Ekile, the Nigerian Singer behind the Award winning Afropop song “Kedike” has announced an end to Her Circular Music Carrier as She carry along the cross to minister the gospel.

The award winning songstress announced Her decision on Sunday 2nd May 20201 which also marks her 30th Birthday that she is now a gospel singer.

Making the announcement on Her Instagram page on Sunday , Chidenma wrote as she post a video of herself doing some gospel ministration, “MY NAME IS MINISTER CHIDENMA EKILE. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS. I’M A CRUSADER OF THE GOSPLE OF CHRIST,”

Fast forward Chidinma has released a new Gospel single titled “Jehovah Overdo.” under the record label Eezee Concepts, the record to which Mercy Chinwo is also signed.

Chidinma rose to the limelight after she had won the Project fame West Africa music contest in 2010 at age 19. She released her first single titled “Jankoliko” featuring Sound Sultan in that same year.

She was then signed to iLLBliss and Clarence Peters’ record label, Capital Hill/Goretti Company. She rose quickly to become Africa’s music sensation with singles such as ‘Kedike’, ‘Emi Ni Baller,’ and many more.

She had won several awards including Best Female West African Act at the KORA Awards in 2012, Best Video at the 2014 Headies with the song ‘Emi Ni Baller. and was also nominated for the Best Female Act at the 2014 MTV Africa Muaic Awards.

Chidinma has been the #1 trending on Twitter across Nigeria barely 24 hours after she made the announcement.
